Description

The Solar carport installation at Garden City Mall provides 1.2M kWh of clean electricity to serve the mall’s shops, grocery stores, and movie theatre each year.

As a result of choosing solar power and investing in other energy and water efficiency initiatives, Garden City was awarded Kenya’s first LEED Gold building certification.

It is the largest solar carport in Africa and the largest rooftop solar project in East Africa. It produces sufficient electricity to power over 550 urban homes in Nairobi and will offset around 18,750 tonnes of carbon over the lifetime of the system.

Description

The Kigali Genocide Memorial, operated by Aegis Trust, attracts nearly 100,000 annual visitors to remember the victims of Rwanda’s 1994 genocide. CBE’s solar installation on the museum grounds supplies the museum’s three buildings with over 20,000 kWh of electricity per year.

Description

Unilever Tea Kenya is one of Kenya’s oldest and largest tea producers, supplying the black tea found in Lipton tea bags worldwide. CBE’s solar solution for Unilever – which rotates to track the sun from east to west during the day – will supply 1.2M kWh to the tea plantation on an annual basis.

Description

Founded in 1989 by entrepreneur Dr Kwabena Adjei, Kasapreko Company is a leading Ghanaian producer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Its signature product, Alomo Bitters, is a liquor flavoured with local herbs and spices. CBE’s rooftop solar installation supplies 570,000 kWh per year to support Kasapreko’s production and bottling operations.

Description

Description

Guinness Ghana Breweries is Diageo’s Ghana subsidiary that manufactures and distributes spirits, stouts, lagers and non-alcoholic malt beverages nationwide.
