Description
Nigerian Breweries Plc’s Ibadan Brewery commenced operations in 1982, and is one of Nigeria’s three largest factories. Established in 1946, Nigerian Breweries Plc runs eight other production facilities across Nigeria, and is working to expand its use of clean energy in each of these locations. CrossBoundary Energy’s rooftop solar PV system currently supplies the Ibadan brewery with up to 1GWh of clean electricity annually, making it the only brewer in Nigeria that is producing beverages with clean energy.

Description
The Xflora Group owns 120 hectares under greenhouses in Kenya’s Rift Valley and grows high quality roses for export all over the world. The product assortment includes over one hundred and twenty different rose varieties under the brands Omang and Amor, including large head traditional roses, garden shaped roses and spray roses. Xflora provides gainful employment to over 2,300 rural workers. CrossBoundary Energy’s roof and ground-mounted solar installations will provide Xflora’s operations with 750 MWh of clean energy annually.

Description
Jabi Lake Mall is the first destination retail establishment in Nigeria’s capital of Abuja, sponsored by Actis and Duval Limited. It first opened in 2015 on the shores of Jabi Lake, Abuja’s largest body of water. The mall’s 24,500 m2 of floor space is built with energy efficiency in mind, designed to use 25% less energy than local buildings of similar size. CrossBoundary Energy’s rooftop solar PV system supplies Jabi Lake Mall with 900 MWh of clean electricity each year.

Description
Founded in 1989 by Dr. Kwabena Adjei, Kasapreko Company is a leading Ghanaian producer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Its signature product, Alomo Bitters, is a liquor flavoured with local herbs and spices. CBE’s rooftop solar installation supplies 570,000 kWh per year to support Kasapreko’s production and bottling operations. Kasapreko has signed on with CBE to expand the capacity of their rooftop system to over 1MWp.

Description
The Kigali Genocide Memorial, operated by Aegis Trust, attracts nearly 100,000 annual visitors to remember the victims of Rwanda’s 1994 genocide. CBE’s solar installation on the museum grounds supplies the museum’s three buildings with over 20,000 kWh of electricity per year.

Description
The solar carport installation at Garden City Mall provides 1.2M kWh of clean electricity to serve the mall’s shops, grocery stores, and movie theatre each year. As a result of choosing solar power and investing in other energy and water efficiency initiatives, Garden City was awarded Kenya’s first LEED Gold building certification. CBE’s installation was Africa’s first and largest solar carport, and it supplies electricity equivalent to powering 550 Nairobi homes. The project will offset around 18,750 tonnes of carbon over the lifetime of the system.
