Kate Wharton is a member of CrossBoundary’s investment advisory team. Ms. Wharton holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Affairs and minor in Spanish from Georgia Tech. Prior to CrossBoundary, Ms. Wharton was based in Turkey as Chief Operating Officer of Hala Systems, a humanitarian technology company. She also worked with Refugee Open Ware in Turkey, supporting social entrepreneurs in conflict-affected regions. Ms. Wharton began her career in Deloitte’s public sector consulting practice in Washington, DC, supporting clients on energy, water and sanitation projects in emerging markets. She also co-founded and led a global social innovation fellowship at Deloitte, with projects in Jordan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Guatemala, and Uganda. Ms. Wharton is based in CrossBoundary’s Washington, DC office.
