Kate Wharton is a member of CrossBoundary’s investment advisory team. Ms. Wharton holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Affairs and a minor in Spanish from Georgia Tech. Prior to CrossBoundary, Ms. Wharton was based in Turkey as Chief Operating Officer of Hala Systems, a humanitarian technology company. She also worked with Refugee Open Ware in Turkey, supporting social entrepreneurs in conflict-affected regions. Ms. Wharton began her career in Deloitte’s public sector consulting practice in Washington, DC, supporting clients on energy, water and sanitation projects in emerging markets. She also co-founded and led a global social innovation fellowship at Deloitte, with projects in Jordan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Guatemala, and Uganda. Ms. Wharton is based in CrossBoundary’s Washington, DC office.
