Lauren Gaffney

Deputy General Counsel

Lauren has a Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center, a Master’s in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development studies in Geneva, and a Bachelor’s in International Relations and Philosophy from Wellesley College. Lauren has practiced law as a clean energy and infrastructure corporate counsel, developing projects and closing deals for 6+ years. Before joining The CrossBoundary Group, she was Assistant General Counsel at TerraForm Power. While there, she led international M&A and project financing, as well as legal asset management. Prior to TerraForm, Lauren was an Energy & Infrastructure Projects associate at Skadden Arps, where she advised on numerous transactions in emerging and frontier markets. She has also lived and worked in a humanitarian and development capacity across East Africa, and in the U.S., Sri Lanka, and Malaysia, working for non-profits, the U.S. Department of State, UNHCR, and the World Bank Group. Lauren is Deputy General Counsel for The CrossBoundary Group and commercially supports the Group’s investment advisory practice. She is based in CrossBoundary’s Washington, D.C. office.
