Marilia is Head of Corporate Development for CrossBoundary and based in the London office. Marilia is an economist with an MPhil in International Development from the University of Cambridge and an MRes in Development Management from the LSE. Prior to joining CrossBoundary in London, Marilia spent three years at Lion’s Head Global Partners, where she advised clients ranging from governments and DFIs to foundations and corporates on innovative investment structures, results-based financing and sovereign debt. Before moving to the UK, Marilia co-founded a social enterprise in Brazil that works with circular economy and upcycling projects involving artisans and corporates. Other work experience includes fundraising and business development at UK-based social enterprise Simprints, management consulting at Deloitte Brazil, and Corporate Social Responsibility at Tata in Uttar Pradesh, India.
