Rajen Ranchhoojee

Rajen spent over 16 years practicing in Tier 1 international law firms, where he specialized in cross-border energy and infrastructure projects as well as multi-jurisdictional corporate transactions. Prior to joining CrossBoundary, Rajen was special legal counsel and South African lead for the global law firm Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. He was also the senior Energy partner and Head of the Africa Practice for Hogan Lovells (South Africa). Rajen’s clients included governments, fortune 500 companies, state utilities, private equity firms, donor funding institutions, as well as leading local and international companies in various jurisdictions. Rajen has worked in no fewer than fifteen countries in Africa, and has represented clients from five continents, including, lenders, developers’, contractors and investors alike. He relocated from Johannesburg to Washington D.C. in 2016 though still retains a presence in South Africa.
