Tala Bassil is a member of CrossBoundary’s Clean Power Advisory team in London. Tala holds a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge in Development Studies and a bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining CrossBoundary, Ms.Bassil worked at IHS Markit, within their Power and Energy Technology team. Her research at IHS Markit focused on the energy storage market in the EMEA region, mini-grids in Sub Saharan Africa and the solar markets in the Middle East and North Africa. She previously worked as an analyst at the Abraaj Group, where she was on the clean energy investment team in Dubai. There, Ms. Bassil supported the team in investigating opportunities for wind and solar projects investments in emerging markets. Ms. Bassil is from Jordan, and has also lived in Greece, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and the United Kingdom.
